Simulators

As long as there have been airplanes, there have been devices to simulate flight. Today, technology has created simulators that so closely mimic the operation and behavior of aircraft, that pilots can log time as if they were in the air.

Aerial Engagement exists to give Phoenix Valley aviators access to these devices!

It used to be that you had to be enrolled as a flight school student to use simulators. We changed all that by creating a PUBLIC space for any pilot, instructor, or student to use. You simply tell us what you want to rent and when you need it, and we’ll reserve a spot for you!

Why Simulated Flight Training?

Flight simulators accelerate pilot proficiency, reducing overall training time. They also save students and pilots a whole lot of money!

Spend 10 minutes on the tarmac, 10 minutes taxiing, and 40 minutes flying to and from the practice area, and your first hour of airborne “training” is shot!

If the instructor charges $75/hour and the plane rental is $225/hour wet, you don’t get much training time for your first $300!

Total cost for two hours Hobbs in the air: $600

Now, consider achieving the same training goal in our Advanced Aviation Training Devices.

Within 10 minutes of entering the building, a certificated pilot can begin shooting her approaches for document currency.* A student can practice chandelles, lazy-8’s, system failures, arrival and departure procedures, instrument approaches, etc. – all in complete safety with ZERO pressure!

At Aerial Engagement, there is no spinning in a “stack” to wait your turn!

Total cost to log three approaches in an hour of simulator time: $150
($75 for the instructor and $75 for an hour of simulator time).

Flight instructors appreciate simulator training because they can hit the “pause” button at any time and discuss a flight situation with a student in real-time.
